Other Things to Note

Here are a few extra things to consider when organising your trip to Palm Springs.

COVID 19 Update

The City of Palm Springs, and the State of California, had a moratorium on vacation rentals, home-shares, and hotels and did not allow places to operate up until April 30, 2020.

However, Airbnbs in Palm Springs can operate after this date. Many places have noted their dedication to additional cleaning.

Taxes and Additional Costs

Since January 1, 2002 a transient of 12% has been implemented in Palm Springs for hotels and rental properties.

For some venues, they have included in the advertised price. Others will add it to the price when you go to book.

Dogs

Many of the places mentioned above are dog friendly, however, do charge additional fees for having the pets on the property (between 50$ to $100 per night depending on the location).

Noise

Many of the properties listed above are in residential areas and have noise restrictions from 10 pm to 8 am. These properties mention noise specifically. They also note that noise complaints that are called into the police can come with a $500 fine.

Minimum Booking Age

A few of the properties specifically note that the minimum age for the primary guest (one who books) is 25. This is for insurance purposes.
