This guide explores the various Luxury Glamping options in Wadi Rum Jordan, to help you decide which one to pick.

The large geodesic dome restaurant with traditional wooden style furniture sets the mood for a very mixed experience and blend of cultures.
Only 2.7 miles from the Wadi Rum Protected Area, this outer-worldly glamping experience gives you a luxury tent in a Bedouin setting. There are 40 tents, a combination of Bedouin camp style and the geodesic domes.
The price of the food and drinks on site is a little pricey. But you are pretty remote out there in the desert so you have to make some allowances. The staff really make the experience, going over and above to create the most authentic Jordanian/desert hospitality.

How to get to Wadi Rum
Most of these options can provide airport pickups if you arrange in advance. However, the likelihood is that you’ll want to do some additional exploring around Jordan either before or after your Wadi Rum experience.
It is easy to drive yourself around Jordan, we drove from Amman to Petra and stopped at some amazing places along the way. There are multiple car hire companies (international organisations) at Amman Airport from which you can rent.
Things To Do In Wadi Rum
What is there to see in Wadi Rum? Sand, rock, the stars…But it is the combination of the beautiful rock formations and colours that come out of the red sand that makes it one of the most amazing places to see in the Middle East. If you are looking for some activities outside of your campsite, try and organise some of the following:
- Go on a Jeep tour to see some of the surrounding sand dunes, rock formations, and petroglyphs
- Watch the sunrise and sunset
- Stargazing is best done away from the lights of the campsite, bring a blanket and find a nice place on a nearby sand dune to admire the galaxy
- Smoke a shisha and sample the bedouin cuisine
How long to spend in Wadi Rum?
If you do a desert tour you can cover the area in a day. But if you like to take your time it’s best to stay for at least 2 nights in a Wadi Rum camp.
